Dr. Jonathan Zaidan, MD FACOG

Dr. Jonathan Zaidan leads Women’s Excellence OB/Gyn and provides innovative and state-of-the-art care to women in Oakland County Michigan and surrounding areas. He is a reputable, board-certified OB/Gyn that is deeply committed to the well-being of his patients. Dr. Zaidan takes a thorough and precise approach to his consultations to ensure that he is consistently giving accurate diagnoses. Comprehensive treatment in a focused, efficient manner is the top goal of Dr. Zaidan. Dr. Jonathan Zaidan is an accomplished physician with a passion for helping and caring for others. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Zaidan received the special award for distinction in biomedical research from Wayne State University. He has also received awards from the Vitals Physician Awards Program including the Patient’s Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition from 2008 – 2018. In addition to serving his patients, Dr. Zaidan is a trainer and proctor at Applied Medical Single Port Laparoscopy and American Medical Systems. Dr. Zaidan was also recently re-appointed to the Michigan Board of Acupuncture by Governor Rick Snyder. Ginger Connor, MD FACOG

Dr. Ginger Connor is a caring and diligent, board certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Women’s Excellence. She sees patients for a variety of health concerns, and routine gynecologic care. Dr. Connor believes in a mutually committed doctor-patient relationship and the delivery of superior, evidence-based medicine. She understands that all women are unique and, therefore, customizes her care to provide her patients with individualized treatment plans. Dr. Ginger Connor grew up in Southeast Michigan. While staying loyal to her home state roots, she attended Hope College and pursued her medical studies at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrical and Gynecologic care at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she is a member of many groups including the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and the American Medical Students Association. She also received the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honorary Award. She is actively involved in the local community through organizing fundraising and team-building activities. Outside of her practice, Dr. Connor enjoys hiking, backpacking, reading novels, camping, windsurfing, and spending time with her family and friends. Douglas Pugmire, D.O., FACOOG

Dr. Douglas Pugmire is a renowned and established Gynecological Oncologist serving patients in Southeast Michigan. Dr. Pugmire received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his OB/GYN residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In addition he completed an OB/GYN internship at Metropolitan Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri and a 2-year fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Pennsylvania Hospital. Prior to coming to Crittenton, Dr. Pugmire spent 3 years at Sparrow Cancer Center in Lansing, Michigan, 7 years in private practice, and 2 years at Ingham Regional Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Pugmire is a member for many groups including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Michigan Osteopathic Association. Dr. Pugmire is married and has three wonderful children. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling abroad, and a multitude of outdoor activities. I am passionate about preventative health and early detection, which is why our office specializes in hereditary cancer screenings to inform patients of their risk for certain cancers. Cancer is an overwhelming disease that comes with a lot of stress, fear, and anxiety. I strive to work as a team with my patients and their loved ones to make them as comfortable and calm as possible during their treatment plan. My goal is to deliver exemplary, cutting-edge care to women who have cancer or are at risk for developing this disease.

Summer Anderson, PA

Summer Anderson received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University and moved to NYC to work as a 7th grade science teacher in the Bronx through Teach for America. Following that, she received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from York College- City University of New York. During clinical rotations in NYC hospitals, she recognized her passion for women’s health. Summer previously worked as a PA in a busy urgent care but is excited to now be part of Women’s Excellence! She hopes to continue to advocate for women and help them feel comfortable through all aspects of their care. In her free time, she loves to try new foods, spend time with her husband Sam, and snuggle her adorable toy poodle, Captain. Erin Rohlfing, PA-C, has a background in personal training and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University, Erin is dedicated to empowering women to prioritize their health and well-being. She combines clinical expertise with a patient-centered approach to deliver personalized care. Outside of work, Erin enjoys supporting her community and helping women achieve their health goals.

Kaycie Grusnick, CFNP

Kaycie Grusnick is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from George Washington University and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Michigan University. Kaycie aims to provide quality, holistic, compassionate care using evidence-based practice. Furthermore, she promotes health and well-being while incorporating education into her practice whenever possible. She previously worked as a nurse in labor and delivery with a special interest in natural childbirth. You can find Kaycie in our Clarkston office.

Shannon Brasil, WHNP

Shannon Brasil grew up in Fraser, Michigan and completed her Bachelors of Nursing from Oakland University and her Masters of Nursing from Wayne State University. Shannon specializes in Menopause care and enjoys creating Menopause plans that cater to pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic modalities to meet the individual needs of every woman. Additionally, Shannon spearheads the Women’s Excellence Weight Management program and strives to help women achieve their wellness goals, whether it be weight loss, improving intimacy, or enhancing their overall well-being. Her other specialties include bioidentical hormone therapy, vitamin supplementation, herbal treatments, osteoporosis treatment, cancer prevention, genetic screening, routine gynecologic care, adolescent medicine, and more! Jessie Tinglan, DNP, CNM, CLS

Jessie Tinglan brings deep experience in maternal care and lactation to her role as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Her background spans roles as an OB tech, labor and delivery nurse, birth center manager, and certified lactation specialist. She holds nursing degrees from Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University, and completed both her Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University. Jessie has a special interest in physiologic birth and patient education, and is dedicated to guiding women through empowered, informed birth experiences. Outside of clinical care, she enjoys outdoor adventures and raising Hereford cattle with her family. You can find Jessie in our Lapeer office.

Michelle Shumunov, CNM, WHNP

Michelle is beginning her first year in healthcare with Women’s Excellence, bringing a fresh perspective and deep passion for women’s health. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 2016 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing with specialties in Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Yale School of Nursing in 2025. Michelle chose women’s healthcare because she believes midwifery is the answer to improving our country’s maternal and infant outcomes. Her philosophy centers on ensuring women feel respected, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their care—whether during pregnancy, labor, postpartum, or throughout their reproductive and gynecologic health journey. As a new graduate from Yale, Michelle joined Women’s Excellence to serve her local community and make a meaningful impact close to home. She is currently seeing patients at our Royal Oak office.

Dr. Andrea Hartford, DO

Returning to Michigan from her home state of Washington, Dr. Hartford brings a passion for women’s health and a commitment to healthcare accessibility. Her journey began with a fascination for human biology in her teens, evolving into a desire to empower individuals to make informed health decisions, particularly for women. Dr. Hartford holds an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Mount Holyoke College, with further studies at the University of Washington. She earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona and completed her residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland, Warren Campus. You can find Dr. Hartford in our Clarkston office.
